thought crime represented through art could be any thing based on a controversial issue such as political cartoons or gay rights, religion, race..
if it portrays anything that a large number of people may feel offended by i would argue that it could be considered a thought crime or at least the representation of one..
Another thing that I thought of was the banning of certain books. Writing can be considered art, so books that are banned are usually those that commit "thought crime" today.
